Refund Policy
Effective Date: 20 October 2026
This page explains refunds and cancellations for Jointly subscriptions. It summarises section C (“Subscriptions, Payments & Refunds”) of our Terms of Service; if the two ever differ, the Terms apply.
Free trial
New families start with a 14-day free trial. You are not charged during the trial, so there is nothing to refund if you decide Jointly is not for you.
Subscriptions bought on jointly.co.za
You can ask for a full refund within 30 calendar days of the initial purchase date of a new subscription. Email support@jointly.co.za or use our contact page with the email address on your account, and we will refund the payment to the card or account you paid with.
Subscriptions bought through Apple or Google
- Apple App Store: refunds are handled by Apple under Apple’s refund policies.
- Google Play: refunds are handled by Google under Google’s standard refund guidelines (typically within 48 hours of purchase).
Renewals, upgrades and add-ons
Subscriptions renew automatically for the same period unless you cancel before the renewal date. Refunds are not issued for renewed terms, plan upgrades or standalone add-on features.
How to cancel
You can turn off auto-renewal in your account settings at any time, or ask us to do it through the contact page. Your plan stays active until the end of the period you have paid for.
Your records after cancelling
After a subscription ends, we may offer limited grace logins (for example, up to two within six months) so you can retrieve your historical records. Shared family records are kept as described in our Privacy Policy.
